I’m going to blog about my new lawnmower. I know, you’re probably not as excited about it as I am, but it’s my blog. If i had a myspace I’d post a bulletin about it, that’s how stoked I am. I’ve been thinking about getting a new mower for a while. The one I’ve been using for the past 2 years is a mulch mower. It’s been through a couple of surgeries (wheel replacements and such). It would almost have been easier to just drag it without wheels. That’s how hard it is to push through the grass.

The whole mulch mower thing is not a very good idea. If your grass gets a bit too tall, you’re totally screwed. Or if it’s wet, you’re screwed. Or if it’s tall and wet, well you get the idea. I just think it’s better to bag it so the remaining grass doesn’t just sit there. It’s like, if you cut your hair, you don’t leave the old hair on your head do you? Yah me neither, so why do that to your grass.

So I’m not going to list the specifications or anything, but it’s black and it totally kicks ass. I obviously took pictures, and here they are:

Dad was nice enough to mow the front yard while I was out of town. Thanks Dad. I did the backyard this afternoon. It was pretty freakin tall. I had to empty the grass bag 4 times and I nearly filled up the big blue trash can. My backyard isn’t THAT big. If it doesn’t rain so much that I can’t mow for 3 weeks in a row I don’t think it will be that bad. I shouldn’t be this excited about doing yardwork. I’m kinda looking forward to mowing the front yard again when it’s time.
