Is 8 Enough?
July 27th, 2006
What a catchy little title. This morning on the way to work I was listening to the Lex and Terry show. They’re on vacation, so they’re playing the “best of.” Today I heard an 8 year old get tattooed on the radio. I am not sure if it was a prank or if it really happened.
The kid’s dad was there and signed a waiver. Apparently the kid has been bugging him since he was 6 about getting a tattoo. So the dad brings him to the Lex and Terry show to get “Lex and Terry” tattooed on his arm. The tattoo was done by Lex and Terry. Some tattoo artist brought in the stuff and showed them how to use it.
So they start tattooing this kid, and he’s screaming and asking of they’re done yet. He only ended up with a letter L and a letter T on his arm, like LT for Lawrence Taylor. I don’t know if it was the forearm, bicep, or what. They didn’t say and I can’t find anything about it on google.
So back to the question. Is 8 enough? Absolutely not. I guarantee you that the kid either gets that shit removed, or gets it covered up as soon as he can. Most likely his mom will see it and castrate his dad, then make him pay for the laser tattoo removal. I can’t imagine that Lex and Terry did a very good job tattooing, so it should be a pretty easy removal.
I’m also curious as to whether or not someone heard this broadcast and reported it to child welfare. You’d think that someone would have snitched. There’s a reason they put minimum ages on shit like that. What’s next? Parents giving beer and porn to their kids? You might as well just give the kid some heroine and needles and get him started right.

i doubt it was real. it’s against the law to tattoo children and as far as i know is a form of child abuse.

laws are broken and child abuse happens every day.

If you listened to the whole skit, you would have heard that this was an April Fool’s joke. Of course, it’s sick to get an 8 year old a tattoo….
