Viewsonic Still Sucks

So I got my LCD monitor back today. It was in a dented box with crushed styrofoam packing. It fell apart when I took it out of the box. They didn’t fix the problem. You may recall my previous post about this. This time I took pictures. I’ve already called the bastards and made them aware of the problem. The dude on the phone made sure they replace the unit this time instead of trying to repair it again. After I was done talking to him I wrote them an email.

Dear Rat Bastards,

I would like to express my dissatisfaction with your company. I bought a Viewsonic lcd monitor almost 2 months ago. It had a defective pixel when I took it out of the box. Newegg’s policy is to only accept returns if there are 8 or more defective pixels, and they told me to call you.

Your company was supposed to repair my monitor, as you did not have my model in stock. I shipped the monitor 5 weeks ago, and it was delivered to me today. The problem was not fixed.

This is unacceptable. I paid for a product on 5 April 2005 and have yet to use it. That’s around 7 weeks from the purchase date, and I still have a defective monitor.

This is not to mention the dented box that I received today containing crushed styrofoam packing. I know there’s no way to tell how or when that happened, but now I’m not able to ship the unit back to you. I must wait for the replacement and use that packaging to return my unit. I do not have a credit card and was recommended not to use my debit card for the advanced replacement plan, but it seems I have no choice.

Needless to say this has not been a very pleasant experience. I have never had this much trouble with an electronics company. I will not buy Viewsonic again, and I will recommend that my friends and family follow suit. I know I’m just one customer out of millions, but I have to make an attempt to let you know that something has gone wrong.

    Im having the same problem with my 40-inch LCD high def TV. It blew up after only 5-months and it took them two weeks just to send me a box to ship the TV back to them. They refused to come and fix it. It’s been amonth and now the guy from View Sonic is trying to puch a used TV on me. No warranty on the new “used” TV. We’re still fighting with them on the phone as I write this note! I’ve never had so much trouble dealing with a company before.
