Lightning

April 24th, 2006

Didn’t I used to play for a soccer team called “The Lightning?”

We played soccer tonight during the tornado sirens and the lightning. Some jackass in the dorms yelled that there was a tornado warning in Yukon. Apparently he’s not from Oklahoma, since tornado warnings don’t really mean shit here. However, lightning DOES mean something, but the refs didn’t seem to care.

It was pointless to play anyway since the other team only had 8 or 9 players. We kicked the shit out of them, and we didn’t even play that hard. The refs sucked as usual. I did not know it was posible to be offside if I was behind the ball AND on my own half of the field. Apparently it is. It was cool to get to play in the rain for the 5 or 10 minutes that it was coming down, though.
