Crate Update

I had the option of ordering a crate online, or buying a “dane sized” crate from the rescue here. as some of you know i had a ridiculous experience with the dane rescue here, and i am totally boycotting them. i have not gone to any events and i’ve spread the word to anyone i talked to that thought about adopting a dog. i went to the rescue website to see what size crated they sell. it was like 48Lx30Wx36H.

if you saw the last entry “smart shopper” then you saw my spreadsheet. sure enough, there’s a website that sells the same size crate for $73.99 plus shipping. i saved $4.63 but i have to wait 3-5 days for delivery. i think it’s absolutely worth it. it would have cost me $120+ at petsmart, so i’m getting a deal AND not supporting those bastards at the rescue. those poor dogs….

not related to the crate, i’m putting up a wall tomorrow. ok, maybe “building” is a better term. last night i made a fake wall out of cardboard and duct tape just to see if i’d like it. well i think i will, so i’m going ahead with construction. i’m going to go get some 2×4s tomorrow and frame it out, then decide what kind of trim i’m going to use, if any, and then go get the trim and drywall. i might have to tear down the rest of that wallpaper before i finish it totally. i’m going to have to paint it, so i might as well paint the whole thing at once. raise your hand if you want to help aaron paint!
