ASBC

I got confirmation that I’ll be attending the Air and Space Basic Course at Maxwell AFB from 6 July 2005 - 16 August 2005. Maybe i can take the next week off and just drive over to Oklahoma and spend my birthday week there. Karen, a fellow intern from Scott, lucked out and gets to go the same time as Eleanor, a friend from Tinker. Too bad they’ll be there in January, and I’ll be there when it’s a million degrees. I think I’ll take that over the cold and/or rainy seasons.
I hear it sucks to be there in October when Krissy, the other Scott intern, will be there. HAHA! I’m pretty sure she’ll give up her spot, since she’s never even thought about running a mile and a half, much less doing it in 15 minutes or less. That’s the only physical standard we have to meet. I think it’s 15 minutes anyway, it might be 13:30 or something. It’s gonna kick SO MUCH ASS if I get to do the obstacle course like they do in basic training. I’ve always wanted to do that.

FITNESS INITIAL SAFETY TEST
On Training Day 3, students will run a timed 1.5-mile run and are required to complete this run in 15:30. This will be a safety screening fitness test that will show if a student has the physical fitness level to safely participate in future outdoor activities. Those students that do not meet this minimum time standard will be retested on the following day. If a student does not meet the minimum time standard on the second attempt, that student will be administratively disenrolled from ASBC.

Sounds like great times! Are they gonna have people yelling at you and all in your face? Do you think they will get upset if you try and take a picture of them while they are screaming at you? Lots of details will be expected!

maxwell afb is in montgomery, al, which is far worse than texass. there is no yelling at asbc, as it is the big LT school, and we are all supposed to be ‘gentlemen’.

Meg, if you’re there when Aaron is you could show him the BEAUTIFUL town of Selma. It’s a dump, but the state is really pretty.

Gentleman.. HA.. Meg you have been in the AF almost a year now.. There are no gentleman any more.. The are a bunch of whiney sissy boys that still need mommys to kiss their boo boos..
