Surrogate
June 29th, 2004
I have a new surrogate mother here in Illinois, Meg’s mom. Welcome to the family! I was invited over to Casa Bagby for dinner this evening, and I must say that it was the best dinner i’ve had in a LONG time. I’d say it’s the best home cooked meal i’ve had in a long time, but i can’t risk hurting the feelings of my real mother.
anyway, we had some barbecue pork, grilled lemon chicken, potato salad, and pinto beans, followed by key lime pie. The key lime pie was good, but i am partial to the potato salad. I LOVE potato salad and i haven’t had it in a long time. Thanks again for dinner Mr and Mrs Bagby!
damn it meg. why’d you have to join the air force and move away?

yeah, um, you should clarify. hopefully, it’s the best damn home cooked meal you’ve had since you were last home visiting your mother, with an exception in the month of april. ahem!!! (good idea not to piss off the cooks in your life…especially one that’s been saving halibut for you!) now, i’m just gonna stomp off and wait for you to make a wisecrack about eating dinner on time, FOR ONCE…it’s not time to eat til i’m drunk and the smoke alarm goes off! wow! this is a long comment
shits and giggles!!!

but i helped with that one, so it doesn’t count. don’t bother saving the halibut, cause i probably can’t eat it anyway.

I am glad you have a surrogate “mom” whose cooking you enjoy. I know what a picky eater you are!!! Anyway, I don’t mind you giving her high praises and I am glad you did.I don’t make Key Lime pie because as you know, mine sucks!!! I don’t make pinto beans because, mine suck!!! I also don’t do lemon chicken or grilled pork. I have no problem with the blog so the rest of you shouldn’t either!!!! So, when are the Bagby’s inviting me and your Dad to dinner?????

Whew!!! I was feeling bad for you with all the flying razor remarks!!! As long as Jomama is okay with me cooking for you, then it’s okay!!! My beans weren’t so hot either, this time and I don’t know how the pie was ’cause I never tried it….but the coconut cream pie was great!!!
