it’s that time of the year again

August 26th, 2003

the time of the year when everyone tells me how fuckin old i am, assholes. i’m just kidding. in just 2 short hours i’ll be 27 years of age. i might as well have one foot in the grave. i’m quitting smoking next week. Wednesday, Sept 3 is D-day. i’m coming to terms with the fact that i’m a quitter.
i’m visiting oklahoma this weekend. i ended up getting friday off work. the military is off. it’s a family day or some shit. well, we civilians are supposed to have to take leave, but since everyone in my office is military, MSgt Williams told me to take the day off. He said that if they give me any shit, to just tell them to come talk to him. how fuckin cool is that? they don’t give a shit what i do since i’m not in their chain of command, but they still sitck up for me when it comes to shit like this. i’m diggin it.
the flight chiefs are supposed to have a meeting next week. apparently my bitching did some good. i finally found the right person to talk to. he called a meeting with the colonel, so hopefully some shit will get done.
the bug obviously has too much goddamn spare time on his hands. he made this (http://ajiva.net/bday/) into a word document and sent it to one of my friends here, who proceeded to send it to just about the whole damn squadron. that’s cool though. when i looked at it i laughed my ass off. i can’t wait until february. paybacks are a bitch. let the games begin! that’s about all for now. i’m going to go to bed so i can wake up before 6 and check out mars before i get ready for work. ima be peepin it through dad’s telescope friday night, w00t.
