spin cycle

August 10th, 2003

i got my washer and dryer yesterday. the dude’s dad was nice to bring his truck over and help us move them. well, he drove the truck and we did all the work. i paid 50 bucks for the pair, and spent about 30 on new hoses. i hooked them all up last nite without incident. i did a couple of loads of laundry today and everything seems to be all good, i didn’t even electrocute myself or burn the apartments down.

i took a few pics of my empty apartment the other day. michelle stopped while i was doing this, so she gets the pleasure of being on the world wide web with me. Apartment pics are here. michelle is one of the few people that i’ve met recently from my squadron. my training sergeant, katie, is trying to play cupid or something. she’s pretty cool too, as are carmen, jim, and tommy. that’s who i’ve been hangin out with the last few days. we had a barbecue yesterday, it was good eatin. my squadron kicks hella ass. i got nicknamed Quincy at the softball game the other night due to the shirt i was wearing. i’ve been hearing that shit ever since. i did not get go to elizabeth’s birthday party saturday though, cause of the washer and dryer thing. i was kinda disappointed to miss out on the cake and ice cream. elizabeth is katie’s 5 year old daughter. she’s a cutie.

so i’m just chillin here in my empty ass apartment. it’ll be soooo fuckin cool when all my stuff gets here wednesday. i think i’m taking off wed-fri so i can unpack everything, with the exception of my bldg 1600 badge appointment at 1000 friday. i can’t wait until i have a bed to sleep in, and my real computers and stuff like that. i’m going to try and talk to an air national guard recruiter this week, and talk to my supervisor and see when would be the best time for me to do that whole thing. since i have to do the enlisted CDCs and the officer’s LROs, i might as well get something out of it. if i swing it right, i can skip the bullshit training after OTS and just do that shit at my normal job. i think that’s about all for now. i’ll holla.
