i made it
July 27th, 2003
well, i’m here in st louis. i made it in about 8 hours yesterday. it would have been a lot less if it weren’t for the 20 miles of road construction at 20 mph. that was really shitty. other than that, it was an OK trip. I took a ride out to the base today to see how to get there and stuff. traffic on the bridge fuckin sucks. there’s one lane that exits from I-44 to 55 north to get on the bridge. that’s gonna be some shit. coming back shouldn’t be that bad, but i’m gonna get sick of making that drive twice a day. if i find out tomorrow that i already got my clearance, then i’m going to go after work and check out a few places in belleville, shiloh and/ or o’fallon. there’s a best buy and a circuit city less than 10 miles or so from the base, so it looks like everything i need is over there. just have to find a place to live 
that’s about all for now. wait, USING A MODEM SUCKS! almost forgot that. i haven’t used a modem in like 5 years and i don’t miss it at all. ok, now that’s all. i just had to express my displeasure about the fact that my internet connection speed is like, measured by BAUD. BAH!
